Civil Inspector

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Civil Inspector to join its Dubai team, responsible for ensuring that civil and structural works comply with contract specifications, codes and standards. The role involves performing a variety of tests and inspections on construction sites, supporting quality control and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct civil and structural tests such as soil compaction, moisture content, concrete slump, compression, and reinforcement torque.
• Perform destructive and non‑destructive testing on metals, including magnetic particle, dye penetrant, radiographic, and paint thickness measurements.
• Inspect underground piping, piling installation, and verify piping systems through P&ID checks and pressure tests.
• Check electrical installations for proper grounding, circuit integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor painting and insulation work to ensure required thickness and coverage.
• Provide general inspection of all construction labour and subcontracted tasks to confirm workmanship quality.
• Assist in preparing quality‑control reports, safety practices and related documentation.
• Administer welder qualification tests when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supervising construction of infrastructure projects (roads and utilities), preferably in the UAE.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and civil inspection procedures.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
