Civil Structural Engineer

About the role

The Civil Structural Engineer will ensure that all civil and structural design deliverables meet project and company intent, specifications, and good engineering practice while staying on schedule. The role includes technical authority for civil, structural, and architectural engineering on on‑shore projects and provides field support as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to contractor technical queries and variation requests.
• Develop civil structural studies, reports, and basic engineering deliverables for new projects.
• Audit construction activities to verify compliance with specifications.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor company staff on their responsibilities.
• Manage work plans and deliverables across multiple projects within budgeted hours.
• Oversee development of civil and structural steel design concepts and ensure proper execution.
• Assist contractor teams in producing engineering and construction documents that meet project requirements.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations and ensure contractor compliance.
• Reconcile conflicting design requirements by providing alignment solutions.

Required profile

• Technical authority for civil, structural, and architectural engineering.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
• Strong project management skills, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience reviewing and approving EPC contractor designs.
• Excellent communication with internal staff and project directors.
