Classroom Assistant – Immediate Start

About the role

The Pearl British Academy is seeking a Classroom Assistant to join its team immediately. The role supports teachers and pupils in a diverse, English‑medium international school environment, helping to ensure a safe and engaging learning atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist with health‑ and safety matters and monitor pupil attendance.
• Help implement and track individual education programmes.
• Support pupils with emotional, behavioural or additional learning needs.
• Maintain pupil records, prepare displays of work and assist teachers with classroom tasks such as photocopying.
• Supervise pupils during lessons and other school areas, and enforce the school behaviour policy.

Required profile

• UAE national with at least a secondary school certificate (or higher).
• Minimum two years of experience working in a school setting.
• Good command of English in line with the school curriculum.
• Understanding of local cultural values and the school’s ethos.

Required skills

• Ability to support pupils academically and socially.
• Basic record‑keeping and organisational skills.
• Awareness of health‑ and safety procedures.
