Cleaning Superintendent

About the role

The Cleaning Superintendent oversees the delivery of soft services across accommodations, offices and common areas. This role ensures high standards of cleanliness, sanitation and hospitality service in a 5‑star hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage soft‑service activities, supervising both internal staff and external contractors.
• Conduct inspections, walk‑arounds and monitor compliance with BICSc standards, SLAs and KPIs.
• Supervise daily cleaning tasks such as mopping, scrubbing and sanitising in common areas, meeting rooms and offices.
• Manage consumables, equipment and waste collection, including re‑ordering and reporting.
• Utilise PDA systems to update planned, corrective and reactive work orders.
• Motivate, develop and direct cleaners, office boys and other service personnel.
• Prepare internal reports, including waste generation data.
• Deliver hospitality services in coordination with the Soft Services Manager and Customer Service team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or housekeeping diploma with relevant experience.
• Previous management experience in a 5‑star hotel or similar hospitality setting.
• Level 3 IELTS proficiency.
• Fluency in English and at least one of Hindi, Telugu or Tamil.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Certified BICS assessor.
• Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely certification and First Aid certificate.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using computers for reporting and PDA updates.
