CNG Maintenance Technician

About the role

The CNG Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing preventive, predictive, corrective and emergency maintenance on all CNG and hydrogen refuelling assets. The role works closely with the CNG Maintenance Supervisor and external contractors to ensure equipment integrity and compliance with HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform corrective and emergency repairs on electromechanical equipment such as CNG compressors, electric motors, switchgear, MCC rooms, priority panels, dispensers, cooling water circuits, PLC and power panels.
• Inspect, monitor and follow‑up on contractor work, verify that standards are met and document outcomes.
• Review preventive maintenance reports, assess equipment condition, and recommend replacements or upgrades.
• Conduct routine predictive maintenance tests and record technical data for progress reporting.
• Maintain tools, safety gear and housekeeping standards, and provide on‑the‑job training for UAE nationalisation programmes.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical engineering (or high school graduate) with 4‑6 years of CNG/Natural Gas maintenance experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of HSE policies, emergency response procedures and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Ability to work independently on‑site, manage time effectively and coordinate with contractors.
