Cold Kitchen Commis (Level 1) – Ajman Saray

About the role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a Level 1 Cold Kitchen Commis to join the culinary team at Ajman Saray. This full‑time position supports the preparation of cold dishes and ensures high standards of food quality, safety and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; thaw frozen items in refrigeration.
• Maintain food logs, monitor portioning, garnish and overall food quality.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Update service staff on menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies; report incidents and complete required certifications.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for extended periods and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 3 years of related kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
