Commercial Director - Construction

About the role

A leading contracting organization in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Commercial Director to oversee all commercial and contractual aspects of major infrastructure projects. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on management of contracts, claims, variations and negotiations to ensure project profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall commercial and contractual management of infrastructure projects.
• Manage contracts, claims, variations, disputes and negotiations.
• Oversee project commercial performance, including cost control, budgeting and profitability.
• Lead and develop Commercial Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Contracts teams.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior commercial roles on large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC and other construction contract frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary commercial teams.
• Excellent stakeholder and client management skills.
