Commercial Director – Growth & Strategy

About the role

The Director – Commercial & Growth is responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy and growth roadmap of GCG. The role ensures disciplined, profitable, and diversified growth while supporting Business Units to achieve sustainable financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the commercial and growth strategy aligned with GCG’s objectives.
• Oversee portfolio development, identify new markets, services and partnership opportunities.
• Establish and enforce commercial governance processes, including deal qualification, pricing discipline and bid approval frameworks.
• Provide commercial leadership to Business Units while preserving operational autonomy.
• Act as senior commercial interface with key clients, partners, OEMs and strategic stakeholders, supporting negotiations for high‑value agreements.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities in the energy, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
• Report regularly to the General Manager on growth initiatives, portfolio performance and strategic risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of commercial leadership experience in the UAE, preferably in EPC, industrial services, energy, utilities or infrastructure.
• Proven track record in pricing, portfolio management, commercial governance and P&L responsibility.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to evaluate financial and operational performance and work across multiple business units.
• Strategic thinker with execution discipline and high professional integrity.
