Commercial Manager – Africa

About the role

Tidewater, a leading provider of offshore support vessels, is seeking a Commercial Manager for its Africa GeoMarket. Based in Dubai, the role reports to the GeoMarket Senior Management team and drives commercial strategy, business development and revenue growth across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic commercial leadership across the full sales lifecycle and achieve revenue targets.
• Analyse market opportunities, competitor activity and shape initiatives for long‑term growth.
• Lead high‑value client negotiations, develop price models, risk strategies and governance frameworks.
• Manage contract delivery, variations, commercial risk and compliance post‑award.
• Resolve contractual disputes in liaison with legal advisers.
• Maintain professional networks and produce commercial reporting for the GeoMarket and corporate levels.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of commercial and business development experience at a management level.
• Proven track record of leading high‑value bids and maritime contract negotiations (e.g., $25‑50 million tenders).
• Deep understanding of the offshore oil & gas marine market, with experience in West Africa preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset, financial acumen and ability to build and manage annual budgets.
