Commercial Manager – Fit‑out Projects

About the role

An established fit‑out contractor in Dubai is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial side of multiple office fit‑out projects across the UAE. The role is pivotal in safeguarding profitability while supporting project delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial performance of fit‑out projects from award to final account.
• Lead contract administration, risk management and ensure contractual compliance.
• Prepare, review and negotiate subcontract and supplier agreements.
• Control project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting and cash‑flow.
• Develop procurement strategies that meet value, quality and programme requirements.
• Monitor costs, identify profitability improvements and manage variations, claims and extensions of time.
• Lead monthly valuations, payment applications and final account negotiations.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to meet commercial objectives and provide guidance to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar role in the fit‑out sector.
• Strong understanding of commercial and office fit‑out projects.
• Extensive background in budget management, cost control and commercial reporting.
• Solid knowledge of contract administration, procurement and subcontract management.
• Experience handling variations, claims and final accounts.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documents.
