Commercial Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee all commercial and contractual activities for our projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, from tendering through final completion. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in protecting the company’s financial interests and ensuring project profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the General Manager on commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead contract management, commercial planning, cost control and financial oversight.
• Review tenders, assess pricing, profitability and exposure.
• Manage contracts, sub‑contracts, negotiations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and negotiate loss & expense claims and handle dispute resolution.
• Oversee interim valuations, monthly payments and final settlements.
• Collaborate with Estimation, Procurement, Project and Operations teams to meet commercial targets.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors on contractual matters.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, insurance, bonds and warranties.
• Provide commercial input for business plans and strategic decisions.
• Lead and develop the commercial team, enforcing consistent procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience, including at least 5 years as a Project Commercial Manager or Commercial Manager.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contract forms (mandatory).
• PMP certification preferred.
• Proven ability to manage risk analysis, claims, variations and contract administration.
• Demonstrated leadership of commercial teams.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
