Commis 1 – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Every memorable dining experience at Fairmont Hotel Dubai begins behind the scenes with our Culinary team’s commitment to safe, efficient operations and exceptional cuisine. As a Commis 1, you will support food preparation and maintain high standards of hygiene and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Attend daily shift briefings and share ideas, opinions and suggestions.
• Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate to minimise repeat visits.
• Maintain cleanliness, proper rotation of products and hygiene standards in line with Dubai Municipality regulations.
• Perform food preparation tasks to meet quality and safety standards.
• Communicate daily with supervisors and kitchen managers to ensure food consistency and quality.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly responsible, reliable and able to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Ability to stay calm, courteous and focused on guest needs at all times.
