Commis 2 Pastry and Bakery

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira in Dubai is seeking a Commis 2 to support its Pastry and Bakery team. The successful candidate will work in a high‑end hotel environment, ensuring ingredients are prepared, stations are set up, and hygiene standards are maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, peel and prepare ingredients for pastry and bakery production.
• Maintain mise en place to the highest quality standards.
• Set up and replenish buffet stations as required.
• Assist with requisition handling and store ingredients in labeled containers.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools and utensils in line with food‑safety regulations.
• Report any cleanliness or maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Adhere to personal hygiene and food‑safety standards set by the hotel and UAE municipality.
• Support other outlets and banquet operations when requested.
• Participate in required meetings and training sessions.
