About the role
The Commis 3 – Cold Kitchen supports the culinary team at The Ritz‑Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal by preparing and handling cold food items. The role ensures that all ingredients are ready, stored correctly, and presented to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix ingredients for cold dishes.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
- Maintain food quality by following recipes, presentation standards and food‑preparation checklists.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and ensure proper storage.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment; verify appliance and food temperatures.
- Follow all safety, security and company policies; report any hazards or incidents.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
