About the role

Join the culinary team at Desert Islands Resort & Spa, part of the Anantara brand, as a Commis I. You will support food preparation and service, ensuring high standards of quality, safety and hygiene for our guests.

Key responsibilities

Prepare mise‑en‑place for all food outlets according to Avani preparation and presentation guidelines.
Maintain clean and tidy work areas, following departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
Ensure food safety by applying proper handling techniques, including dating, storage, rotation and sanitation practices.
Assist with events, banquets and other functions as required, supporting the service team.
Participate in departmental training to improve culinary skills and overall hotel service levels.
Uphold personal hygiene, grooming standards and comply with fire safety and health & safety rules.
Take responsibility for the care of hotel property and facilities.
