Commis 3 – Room Service Production

About the role

The Commis 3 – Room Service Production role supports the Food & Beverage team at W Hotels, Abu Dhabi by preparing and handling food items for room service and other outlets. You will work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes meet the brand’s quality and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, washing, and storing fresh produce.
• Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to recipes and food preparation checklists.
• Cook and assemble cold and hot foods, operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test foods for proper doneness and monitor quality throughout preparation.
• Set up and break down work stations, maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure correct temperature of appliances and food, and follow all safety and security policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related food preparation experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Willingness to work extended shifts in a hot kitchen environment.

Required skills

• Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Accurate measuring, portioning, chopping, and storing of food items.
