Commis Chef – Entry Level Kitchen Position

About the role

The Commis Chef will support the Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, preparing menu items to brand standards and ensuring every dish meets high quality and presentation criteria. This entry‑level position is based in Dubai and requires strict adherence to health, safety and food hygiene regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare menu items following recipes and brand guidelines.
• Identify and report any stock, equipment or MEP issues immediately.
• Maintain clean and well‑functioning kitchen and operating equipment.
• Ensure proper storage, rotation and FIFO handling of all goods.
• Support venue timing requirements and prepare the kitchen for each service.
• Assist with quality checks and ingredient knowledge.

Required profile

• Certificate, course or diploma in hospitality or culinary arts.
• Strong commitment to consistent, high‑quality service.
• Professional appearance and communication style.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Chef in charge.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards.
• Understanding of FIFO inventory practices.
