Commis I – Hot Kitchen (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Commis I to join our hot kitchen team at Centro Al Manhal by Rotana & Al Rawda Arjaan by Rotana in Abu Dhabi. You will support senior chefs in delivering high‑quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare food according to menu specifications and chef instructions.
• Maintain a hygienic work area in line with hotel standards.
• Control food stock and monitor food cost within your section.
• Prepare daily mise‑en‑place and produce food across main kitchen and satellite stations.
• Follow superiors' directions to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Ensure consistent quality and stay updated on new products, recipes, and techniques.
• Coordinate with other sections to manage cleanliness, waste, and cost control.

Required profile

• Completed professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
• Previous experience in reputable establishments with solid culinary skills.
• Fluent English communication ability.
• Proven knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and preservation.
• Positive, creative, and dedicated team player able to work in a multicultural environment.
• Demonstrated adaptability, responsibility, and teamwork.
