Commis I – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic kitchen professional to join our culinary team as a Commis I. In this entry‑level position you will support the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie in delivering high‑quality food service to our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare food according to menu specifications and chef instructions.
• Maintain a hygienic work area in line with hotel standards.
• Control food stock and monitor food costs within your section.
• Prepare daily mise‑en‑place and produce food across main kitchen and satellite stations.
• Follow directions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure consistent quality and stay updated on new products, recipes, and techniques.
• Coordinate with other sections to manage cleanliness, waste, and cost control.

Required profile

• Completed a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
• Previous experience in reputable establishments with solid culinary skills.
• Fluent English communication.
• Proven knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and preservation.
• Positive, dynamic, creative, and dedicated team player.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and under pressure.
• Core competencies: job understanding, responsibility, adaptability, teamwork, customer focus.
