About the role
The Commis I supports the culinary team at Autograph Collection Hotels in Dubai by preparing ingredients, cooking under supervision, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This full‑time, on‑site position offers hands‑on experience in a high‑end hospitality setting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients, chop, weigh, store food, and wash/peel fruits and vegetables.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test foods for proper cooking.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain hygiene by washing and disinfecting tools and surfaces.
- Monitor food quality, follow recipes and presentation standards, and ensure temperature compliance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in food preparation or kitchen operations.
- No supervisory experience required.

- Chopping, weighing, portioning, and storing food.
- Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
