About the role
The Commis II supports the Breakfast and Brunch restaurant at The Ritz‑Carlton Dubai by preparing ingredients, cooking, and maintaining high kitchen standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, chop, store, and weigh ingredients; wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test foods for proper cooking.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen, tools, equipment, and work stations.
- Monitor food temperatures, ensure correct portioning, and follow safety and security policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and perform repetitive motions.
- No supervisory experience required.
Required skills
- Operating kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers).
- Food safety and sanitation practices.
