About the role
We are seeking a motivated Commis II to join the Benihana kitchen team at Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach. In this role you will support food preparation, maintain high standards of quality and presentation, and work closely with senior kitchen staff in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing dishes according to Benihana recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized work station and follow proper food handling procedures.
- Receive, store, and rotate food deliveries safely.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service.
- Report any issues or concerns to senior kitchen staff promptly.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine.
- Proficiency in knife skills and food preparation techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
