Commis II – Latin American Restaurant

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton is seeking a motivated Commis II to join the Latin American Restaurant team in Dubai. This entry‑level culinary position supports the kitchen by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients – portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
• Cook and plate food, ensuring quality, presentation and adherence to preparation checklists.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor cooking temperatures, test food doneness and maintain food safety standards.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Serve food in proper portions and maintain proper storage conditions.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies, reporting any issues to management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant kitchen experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.
• Professional appearance and ability to communicate clearly.
• Commitment to confidentiality, teamwork and adherence to quality standards.
