About the role

This role ensures high standards of food preparation and service in the assigned kitchen of an Accor hotel in Dubai, following the company’s quality and safety guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Stock the kitchen daily with raw materials and ingredients.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place and cook food according to standard recipe cards while controlling portions and waste.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards (HACCP), clean equipment, and report hazards or faulty tools.
• Follow fire‑life safety and emergency procedures, attend briefings and trainings.
• Support the team by performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma; culinary diploma preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in a high‑volume kitchen or full‑service hotel.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lb; flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (HACCP).
• Operation of standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Experience with Arabic, Thai, Japanese, Filipino or Indonesian cuisine.
