About the role
We are looking for a motivated fresh Mechanical Engineering graduate to join our Oil & Gas project team in Abu Dhabi as a Commissioning Engineer – Trainee. Working under senior supervision, you will support mechanical pre‑commissioning activities and help ensure safe plant start‑up.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in inspecting mechanical equipment, piping, and valves before plant start‑up.
- Participate in site walk‑downs to verify that physical installations match P&ID and isometric drawings.
- Support line flushing, hydro‑testing and initial equipment trials for pumps, compressors and valves.
- Help prepare and organise commissioning documentation, test packs and punch lists.
- Coordinate with site HSE teams to ensure testing activities comply with safety protocols.
- Track and report daily progress of mechanical pre‑commissioning tasks.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (fresh graduate).
- UAE‑based with a valid visa.
- Fluent in English.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of P&IDs.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
