Commissioning Superintendent (Rotating)

About the role

KBR is seeking a Commissioning Superintendent (Rotating) to lead commissioning activities for sales gas and condensate projects on a major EPC contract in Abu Dhabi. The role requires extensive offshore site experience and the ability to coordinate with EPC contractors, sub‑contractors, licensors and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to the commissioning team, EPC contractor and sub‑contractors within the assigned area.
• Coordinate with licensors and vendors to ensure commissioning follows their procedures.
• Oversee progress of commissioning activities for sales gas and condensate.
• Review pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures and manuals.
• Support the Senior Commissioning Manager with advice and technical input.
• Verify mechanical completion certificates for systems and subsystems.
• Participate in commissioning and troubleshooting meetings.
• Confirm readiness of systems for MC and RFSU certificate issuance.
• Monitor and approve punch‑list close‑out and ensure handover complies with project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 20 years of experience in commissioning or operation readiness, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar senior role on oil & gas or petrochemical EPC projects.
• Experience with sour gas, hydrogen production and hydro‑desulfurization projects.
• Proven track record leading sales gas and condensate commissioning.
