Commissioning Superintendent (Telecom)

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Commissioning Superintendent to lead telecom commissioning activities on a large offshore EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the commissioning of sales gas and condensate systems, ensuring compliance with licensor procedures, and delivering operation‑readiness for complex sour‑gas, hydrogen and hydro‑desulfurisation facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to the commissioning team, EPC contractor and sub‑contractors.
• Coordinate with licensors and vendors to monitor commissioning activities against approved procedures.
• Drive progress of sales gas and condensate commissioning, reviewing pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures.
• Review and validate commissioning manuals, mechanical completion certificates and readiness for MC and RFSU certification.
• Participate in commissioning and troubleshooting meetings, resolving obstacles and approving close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 20 years of commissioning/operation‑readiness experience, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a senior commissioning role on oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
• Offshore site experience on mega EPC projects.
• Proven experience with sour‑gas, hydrogen production and hydro‑desulfurisation projects.
