Community Builder – UAE

About the role

Malt is looking for a Community Builder to lead the development of its freelancer ecosystem in the United Arab Emirates. You will act as the local bridge between Malt’s global community strategy and the UAE market, driving platform adoption and fostering loyalty among high‑value freelancers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end creation of a high‑quality local freelancer ecosystem, sourcing, contacting and onboarding top‑tier talent through daily 1:1 interactions.
• Plan, organize and host practical, must‑attend events, workshops and meet‑ups for UAE freelancers.
• Produce localized content such as newsletters, emails and articles to keep Malt top‑of‑mind.
• Collaborate with the local sales team to align community initiatives with immediate talent demand.
• Establish partnerships with chambers of commerce, freelance permit providers and co‑working spaces to accelerate freelancer acquisition.
• Track activity metrics (attendance, registration, engagement) and continuously optimise tactics.
• Adapt global community programmes for the UAE market, ensuring seamless localisation and strong regional engagement.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Marketing or Communications.
• 4+ years of experience in sales, project management or a similar role.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in the Middle East, preferably the UAE, with deep knowledge of local market dynamics and cultural nuances.
