Construction Equipment Technician

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Technician to join the FAMCO Construction Equipment team in the UAE. The role delivers high‑quality service, maintenance and repair on construction machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum customer satisfaction. It combines workshop and field duties, covering inspections, diagnostics, repairs and proactive customer support while upholding safety and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Remove, install, disassemble and assemble machine components such as engines, transmissions and axles.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics and inspections to identify faults and determine effective repair solutions.
• Conduct machine inspections and customer visits to support service quality and generate additional service revenue.
• Maintain accurate documentation including job cards, service reports and timesheets in line with ISO standards.
• Guide junior technicians through knowledge sharing and teamwork.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineering.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on experience servicing and repairing heavy machinery in both field and workshop environments.
• Valid driving licence and basic computer literacy for job reporting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required by operational demands.

Required skills

• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
• Hands‑on expertise with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics and technical drawings.
• Attention to detail and compliance with technical standards and procedures.
