Construction Manager

About the role

Waagner Biro Bridge Services is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead a variety of bridge, steel structure and infrastructure projects across Dubai. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting and execution of construction projects, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery.
• Manage construction teams, coordinate contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and conduct regular site inspections for compliance with contract documents, safety regulations and UAE building codes.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, including critical‑path analysis, and proactively manage schedule changes and delays.
• Develop and control project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost‑control measures to avoid overruns.
• Prepare progress reports, payment certifications, quantity measurements and claims documentation for client review.
• Handle contract administration, review specifications, interpret contract requirements and manage change orders.
• Obtain necessary permits, approvals and inspections from clients, government agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Lead stakeholder meetings, communicate project status transparently and mitigate risks early.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 10 + years of hands‑on construction management experience on commercial, residential or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in contract administration, construction administration or resident engineer roles.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, engineering specifications, UAE construction standards, building codes and safety regulations.
• Valid driver’s licence with access to a properly registered and insured vehicle.
