Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist to join a leading hospital in Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver expert diagnosis, treatment and long‑term management of kidney and urinary tract disorders in infants, children and adolescents while working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of pediatric kidney disorders, including CAKUT, nephrotic/nephritic syndromes, AKI, CKD, hypertension and tubular disorders.
• Oversee pediatric dialysis programs (peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis) and coordinate renal replacement therapy.
• Lead renal transplant evaluations and provide comprehensive post‑transplant follow‑up.
• Interpret renal imaging, kidney biopsy findings and specialized laboratory investigations.
• Collaborate with pediatric urologists, intensivists, endocrinologists, radiologists and transplant teams.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, nutrition and medication adherence.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in audits, teaching and research.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and specialty training in Pediatrics.
• Fellowship or board certification in Pediatric Nephrology (American Board, Royal College or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years post‑specialisation experience in a tertiary or academic setting.
• Western‑trained education or clinical experience (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or equivalent).
• Eligibility for a valid DHA, DOH or MOH Consultant licence.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and commitment to family‑centred care.
