Contract Engineer - Civil Infrastructure

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking an experienced Contract Engineer to oversee contractual and commercial activities for civil infrastructure projects across the UAE. The role involves managing main contracts, subcontract agreements, and all related documentation in line with FIDIC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Administer main contracts according to FIDIC Red Book and project requirements.
• Review contract documents, specifications, BOQs, and contractual conditions.
• Prepare and manage contractual notices, claims, variations, and extension of time (EOT) submissions.
• Draft and review correspondence with employers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Administer subcontract agreements, monitor obligations, risks, entitlements, and deadlines.
• Support final accounts, payment matters, and dispute resolution.
• Maintain contractual registers, records, and claims documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, QS, Planning, Procurement, and Technical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• 7–10 years of construction/contracts experience, with 3–5+ years in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong practical knowledge of FIDIC (1999 Red Book) and subcontract administration.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong negotiation and communication skills.
