Contracts Specialist – Procurement & Vendor Management

About the role

The Contracts Specialist will support Wasael Property Management by managing procurement contracts, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance throughout the contract lifecycle. This role works closely with suppliers, internal teams, and legal to protect the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate, finalize, and manage procurement contracts, including extensions, terminations, and renegotiations.
• Prepare procurement proposals and coordinate competitive bid submissions.
• Monitor contract performance, assess the need for amendments, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Approve or reject deviations from contract specifications, delivery schedules, or terms.
• Address and resolve claims or complaints arising during contract execution.
• Analyse price proposals, financial data, and vendor performance for competitiveness.
• Act as liaison between the company and contractors to ensure full compliance.
• Solicit bids, negotiate, and administer resulting contracts effectively.
• Manage contract breaches and assist with termination procedures.
• Conduct detailed analysis of firm‑fixed‑price contracts and perform pre‑award and post‑award tasks.
• Research market practices and prepare comprehensive reports, memoranda, and draft contractual clauses.
