Controller, Budget & Cost

About the role

The Controller, Budget & Cost will coordinate, consolidate and ensure timely production of joint‑venture budgets and forecasts for ADNOC and its associated venture companies. The role supports shareholders and senior management with accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare original and spring‑forecast budgets for joint and associated ventures and ensure alignment with company procedures.
• Monitor expenditure variances, investigate over‑ or under‑runs, and produce mandatory reports for shareholders and management.
• Consolidate fixed‑asset and depreciation schedules and respond to internal and external auditor queries.
• Direct and supervise personnel preparing capital and operating budgets across divisions.
• Coordinate with financial controllers to gather inputs, consolidate data, and present budget summaries, dry‑runs and variance analyses.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and final accounts preparation for joint ventures and maintain the fixed‑asset register.
• Control capital commitments and major maintenance expenditures, reviewing related financial statements and authorisations.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in budgeting, accounting or financial control within large, multi‑entity organisations.
• Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate cross‑functional budget processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to investigate variances.
