Corporate Legal Expert

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Expert to act as the internal legal advisor for a leading international engineering and project‑management firm. The role involves providing strategic legal and contractual guidance across corporate, commercial and project operations in the UAE and globally.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day legal counsel to senior management and project teams.
• Draft, review and negotiate EPC, consultancy, supply, joint‑venture and subcontracting agreements.
• Advise on UAE corporate, commercial and labour law to ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Support corporate governance, entity structuring and licensing requirements.
• Manage contract risk and propose mitigation measures for current and future projects.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, external counsel, auditors and authorities.
• Maintain internal policies on anti‑bribery, data protection, sanctions and confidentiality.
• Monitor legal developments in UAE law and interpret relevant U.S. and British legal principles.
• Assist in dispute prevention, claims management, arbitration and litigation oversight.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) required; Master’s or LLM in Corporate/Commercial Law preferred.
• Qualified lawyer in the UAE or another common‑law jurisdiction.
• 8–10 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in the UAE/GCC within project‑based or industrial sectors.
• Strong expertise in UAE corporate, commercial and labour law; knowledge of British law is a significant advantage.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities with a commercial, solution‑driven mindset.
• High analytical skills, integrity and professionalism handling confidential information.
