Costing Clerk (UAE National)

About the role

The Costing Clerk is responsible for preparing accurate costings for retail, warranty and internal job cards, ensuring timely and precise invoicing for customers at Al Tayer Motors.

Key responsibilities

• Separate retail/internal jobs from warranty jobs on each job card.
• Calculate costing for labour, consumables and sub‑let lines, grouping them by charge type using menu codes.
• Apply standard labour operations with the correct RTS/SLTS codes.
• Verify that allocated time matches operation codes and is fully charged to maximise profitability.
• Escalate cases of excessive non‑chargeable time approved by team leaders to the location manager.
• Use appropriate labour rates for each charge type and record all labour, parts and sub‑let costs against repairs.
• Invoice all charge lines for internal and service contract jobs on the job cards.
• Assist with warranty costing and ensure internal job cards have proper authorisation.
• Prepare MIS reports for the manager and report any customer dissatisfaction.
• Reconcile incentive payments for Service Advisors and Team Leaders.
• Prepare IPO and LPO documents for sub‑let jobs and allocate charges to the correct department.
• Coordinate service contracts and menu price lists with Workshop and Technical Support Managers.
• Follow up with the warranty department and Service Advisors on repair orders pending over 30 days.

Required profile

• Graduate in Commerce.
• 3–5 years of costing experience within an automotive franchise.
