Demi Chef de Partie – Bakery (Hotel)

About the role

As a Demi Chef de Partie in the bakery section of Shangri‑La Dubai, you will support the daily operations of a high‑volume pastry kitchen, ensuring every baked product meets the brand’s standards for quality, presentation and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of bakery items following established recipes and portion controls.
• Maintain hygiene, sanitation and HACCP standards throughout the kitchen.
• Monitor equipment, report maintenance needs and help minimise food waste.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling and rotation of all food products.
• Collaborate with the team to keep the kitchen clean, organised and efficient.
• Support training and development of junior team members when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie – Bakery in a hotel or high‑volume culinary operation.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation and HACCP standards.
• Strong team player with a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Effective communication in English and flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
