About the role
The Demi Chef de Partie in the cafeteria will prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods while ensuring consistent quality and presentation. You will manage temperature controls for ovens, grills and roasters, and coordinate with the Chef and service staff on menu specials and excess inventory.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
- Pull frozen items to thaw in refrigeration and maintain proper food logs.
- Ensure correct portioning, arrangement and garnish of dishes.
- Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and inform staff of menu specials or out‑of‑stock items.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
- Minimum of 3 years related kitchen experience.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
