Department Manager

About the role

The Department Manager will lead the retail team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales for Apparel LLC. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will ensure operational excellence, uphold brand standards, and promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and fashion trends to minimize stock loss and support suggestive selling.
• Coach and support retail staff to provide the highest level of customer service and achieve sales targets.
• Assist the Store Manager in implementing operating procedures and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Manage daily rosters, leave requests, and employee grievances.
• Oversee visual merchandising standards and conduct regular store audits.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to increase repeat sales.
• Provide feedback on employees and product performance to the Store and Area Managers.
• Maintain security awareness and handle any incidents promptly.
• Take full store responsibility in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods and handling heavy lifting.

• Fashion‑forward, well‑groomed appearance with strong product knowledge.
• Physically fit to stand for extended hours and perform heavy lifting.
• Ability to audit store administration and resolve issues independently.
• Excellent communication skills for feedback and customer interaction.
