Design and Technical Manager

About the role

The Design & Technical Manager will lead the complete design and technical delivery process for interior projects from post‑award through construction completion. Acting as the primary technical liaison, you will coordinate with contractors, clients, consultants, authorities and internal teams to close design gaps, finalize intent and ensure timely release of approved deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main technical representative with client, PMC, operator, design consultants and authorities.
• Lead workshops to resolve design gaps, assumptions and interface issues, and drive final design sign‑off.
• Manage post‑award design development, multidisciplinary coordination (architectural, interior, MEP, structural, specialist systems) and IFC readiness.
• Oversee engineering lifecycle including shop‑drawing preparation, material, sample and mock‑up submissions, and construction documentation.
• Develop and maintain drawing, material and sample registers, submittal schedules and approval matrices.
• Ensure all technical submissions support construction sequencing, procurement strategy and handover milestones.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading design and technical delivery for interior or construction projects from award to completion.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage interfaces with clients, contractors and authorities.
• Excellent understanding of design intent, construction sequencing and programme milestones.
