Design Engineer – AV Solutions

About the role

The Design Engineer transforms customer needs into actionable AV solutions through system design and detailed documentation, working closely with sales teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Account Managers to translate customer requirements into functional AV system designs and detailed documentation.
• Develop design packages including bill of materials, block diagrams, infrastructure plans and scopes of work, and act as the design authority during implementation.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Proven experience working in cross‑functional teams and managing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• AV system design and configuration using CAD tools (AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu).
• Understanding of IP networking, AVoIP, and network design architecture.
• Familiarity with AV industry standards such as AVIXA and ANSI/TIA.
• Audio/DSP certifications (Biamp, Q‑SYS, BSS, Extron, Shure).
• Experience with enterprise video‑conferencing solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Cisco Webex).
