Design Engineer Fire Protection Systems

About the role

We are looking for a collaborative and technically skilled Design Engineer specializing in fire protection systems to join our team in Dubai. The role involves creating innovative, code‑compliant fire safety solutions for commercial, industrial and residential projects while working closely with clients and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed fire protection system designs, including layout drawings, specifications and hydraulic calculations for sprinklers, alarms, suppression systems and hydrants.
• Interpret client requirements, building codes and fire safety standards to develop cost‑effective and robust solutions.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, architects and contractors throughout the design and project lifecycle.
• Prepare and review technical documentation such as design reports, datasheets, bills of materials and compliance submissions for authority approvals.
• Support project managers and installation teams during procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments and site visits to resolve queries and verify installation quality.
• Stay updated with the latest codes (NFPA, BS, EN) and technological advancements in fire protection.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in fire protection system design.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety codes and standards (NFPA, British Standards, local regulations).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
