Design Engineer – Firefighting Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Design Engineer specialized in firefighting systems to join our engineering team in Dubai. The role involves creating detailed fire protection designs that meet NFPA standards and UAE Civil Defense requirements, supporting projects from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Design fire protection systems including sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, fire pump and foam systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, select equipment and prepare technical specifications.
• Produce shop, design and as‑built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Review project specifications, drawings and BOQ requirements.
• Coordinate with project, estimation, MEP and site teams to ensure design integrity.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and Civil Defense regulations.
• Participate in technical meetings with consultants and clients.
• Support material submittals, authority approvals and respond to technical queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience designing firefighting systems.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and UAE fire safety regulations.
• Experience in the UAE/GCC market is an advantage.
