Design & Estimation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Design & Estimation Engineer to join our fire protection team in Dubai. The role involves reviewing tender documents, preparing accurate cost estimates, and ensuring compliance with fire and life‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Read and interpret two‑dimensional drawings in AutoCAD and PDF formats.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for fire protection systems.
• Estimate material costs and installation labour charges.
• Coordinate with design and technical teams to clarify project requirements and prepare competitive quotations.
• Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and technical details.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and Civil Defense requirements.
• Analyze project requirements and deliver accurate cost proposals within deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in fire protection estimation or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
