Design Integration & Interface Manager – Rail Projects

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Design Integration and Interface Manager to lead the coordination of design interfaces across civil, structural, rail systems, stations and operational disciplines for a major railway project in the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Interface Management Plan and Design Integration Strategy.
• Identify, define and manage all project interfaces across civil, structural, rail systems, stations and operational disciplines.
• Maintain the interface register and ensure all interfaces are tracked, coordinated and resolved.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to deliver fully integrated design outputs.
• Manage interfaces with airport systems, including baggage handling, passenger flow and intermodal connections.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings and design reviews with project teams, contractors, airport stakeholders and authorities.
• Support systems engineering processes, requirements flow‑down and interface definition.
• Identify and mitigate interface risks, monitor design progress and support construction teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in rail projects or rail operations, preferably in the GCC or internationally.
• Proven experience in design integration and interface management on large‑scale rail or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of rail systems, civil infrastructure, stations and operational interfaces.
• Experience with airport integration projects and exposure to baggage handling systems is an advantage.
• Experience with systems engineering processes and interface management methodologies.
