Direct Entry Captain

About the role

Emirates is seeking motivated, technically proficient pilots to join its Direct Entry Captain programme for Airbus A350 and A380 aircraft. As a Captain, you will lead multi‑crew operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and service.

Key responsibilities

• Command Airbus A350 or A380 flights as Captain, adhering to all operational and safety procedures.
• Manage and coordinate the flight crew, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Oversee flight planning, performance calculations, and in‑flight decision making.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and Emirates operational standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 7,000 total flight hours in multi‑crew, multi‑engine aircraft (turboprop/turbojet time only; simulator time excluded).
• At least 150 hours in the past 12 months on Airbus Fly‑By‑Wire (FBW) as Captain.
• Valid ICAO ATPL with a matching Authority Class 1 Medical.
• ICAO English level 5 or above.
• For A380: Minimum 3,000 PIC hours on Airbus FBW wide‑body (A330/A340/A350/A380).
• For A350: Minimum 3,000 PIC hours on any Airbus FBW (A320/A330/A340/A350/A380).

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating Airbus Fly‑By‑Wire aircraft.
• Type‑rating and operational experience on Airbus A350 and/or A380.
• Experience with multi‑crew, multi‑engine flight operations.
