Director and Senior Investment Advisor

About the role

The Investment Advisor supports Relationship Managers and their affluent clients in achieving investment objectives while expanding the bank’s share of wallet. Acting as a conduit for the bank’s market and product views, the role delivers tailored investment solutions aligned with client risk profiles and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Affluent Segment Relationship Managers across the UAE to meet client investment objectives and drive AUM growth and revenue from investment products.
• Provide frontline and client updates on the CIO Office’s market outlook, covering global capital markets, asset classes, and actionable ideas.
• Liaise regularly with Wealth Management product managers (Managed Investments, Bancassurance, CMPS, WM Lending) to convey client and market requirements.
• Conduct portfolio reviews, determine client risk appetite, investment preferences, and return expectations.
• Translate CIO house views and cross‑asset themes into client propositions across funds, bonds, FX, structured products, alternatives, and wealth lending solutions.
• Support AUM growth, product penetration, client activation, and disciplined execution of advisory priorities.
• Stay current on investment product trends, financial markets, consumer behaviour, and technology applications.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with Relationship Managers in wealth management or private banking environments.
• Strong understanding of investment products, market dynamics, and risk assessment.
• Ability to communicate complex market outlooks and investment ideas to both frontline staff and clients.
• Demonstrated capability to lead portfolio reviews and provide risk‑aware recommendations.
• Collaborative mindset for working with product teams and risk/control owners.
