Director of Business Development

About the role

Join Loft Orbital’s joint venture, Orbitworks, as the Director of Business Development. You will drive commercial growth by identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and nurturing customer relationships to position Orbitworks as a leader in satellite manufacturing and operations across the UAE and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead generation: identify, classify and qualify inbound and outbound opportunities.
• Sales: engage prospective and existing customers, present Orbitworks’ services and assess how they meet client objectives.
• Proposal development: craft tailored proposals that clearly communicate the value proposition.
• Contracting: draft and negotiate contracts aligned with customer needs and company goals.
• Account management: maintain strong relationships throughout program lifecycles and uncover further business opportunities.
• Product development support: provide market insights to guide future capabilities, products and services.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development or sales, preferably in aerospace or GIS.
• Proven track record of success in the MENA region and beyond.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for external stakeholder engagement.
• Solutions‑oriented mindset with a passion for turning customer needs into actionable opportunities.
• Ability to represent Orbitworks’ values at industry and government events.
