Director of Finance

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a seasoned Director of Finance to join its Executive Committee. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the finance function for a luxury hotel and residential complex, ensuring robust financial governance and driving profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain financial controls, accounting procedures and internal control systems in line with corporate policies, GAAP and the hotel’s management contract.
• Act as a senior member of the leadership team, supporting the General Manager, ensuring contract compliance and escalating any discrepancies to corporate management.
• Identify and pursue improvement opportunities, promote analytical reporting and supervise finance teams to enhance financial performance and guest experience.
• Lead employee development through structured training, performance evaluation and succession planning to maintain a high‑performing finance function.

Required profile

• Minimum eight years of progressive finance experience, preferably within hospitality or a comparable high‑end service environment.
• Proven track record of managing financial controls, internal control systems and accounting procedures.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
