Document Controller – Contracts Experience

About the role

China Railway 18th Bureau Group LLC is urgently seeking an experienced Document Controller to join its team in Dubai for a major construction project. The role involves maintaining project documentation, ensuring records are accurate and up to date, and supporting contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and organize project documentation for construction and contract activities, ensuring all records are systematically stored and easily retrievable.
• Manage contract-related records, including Requests for Information (RFIs), variations, interim payments, extensions of time (EOT), and claims documentation, to support contract administration.
• Control document workflows using the Aconex document management system, overseeing version control, distribution, and archiving.
• Ensure all project documents are accurately recorded, tracked, and distributed to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with project teams to maintain document compliance, facilitate timely submissions, and support overall project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, Document Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ UAE/Gulf experience in document control on large‑scale construction projects, demonstrating familiarity with contract documentation processes.
• Immediate joiners preferred, reflecting the urgent need for resources on the project.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Aconex document management system (mandatory).
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications for document preparation and reporting.
